Possui mestrado em Arquitetura e Design (1996) - Vienna University of Technology, Austria, e University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, E.U.A.(1996) e doutorado em Arquitetura - Vienna University of Technology, no Instituto de Arte e Design (2005), revalidado na PPGARTES/ UERJ (2016). Após um curso-tecnico-profissionalizante pela Kolleg für Innenausbau und Möbelbau, Mödling, Austria (1987) trabalhou como marceneira e designer de interiores em um escritório em Milão/Itália, dentre outras atividades.

Buscando ampliar o tema do espaço abordando-o por outras perspectivas que transcendem a formação técnica. Sendo assim, co-fundou um escritório em Viena e por seis anos foi professora assistente no Instituto de Estruturas e Design na Technische Universität Wien coordenada pelo Prof. Arquiteto Helmut Richter. Tem experiência na área de Arquitetura, Urbanismo, Design e Arte. O trabalho desenvolve voltado para as questões relacionadas ao espaço, aliado ao estudo teórico também como artistic research, com enfoques variados que abrangem, entre outros, o desenvolvimento de projetos urbanos, design de interiores, mobiliários, projetos gráficos e obras de arte.

O interesse no espaço, vai além de uma visão estritamente arquitetônica, aborda o espaço vívido, tendo o sujeito como protagonista. Buscando entender a relação interdependente do corpo e do espaço dentro da sociedade e a forma como essa relação se manifesta. Para tal, utiliza os conhecimentos oferecidos pela arquitetura, arte, filosofia, Visual Culture e estudos dos gêneros. Atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: espaço e corpo.

Space goes far beyond a purely architectural view.

The lived space in architecture and interior, design and art is my interest: Consequently, I explore space as an extension of the body. This concept of dealing with mutual relationship of space and body is developed constantly and parallel since my technical formation: my field of work deprives from the usual categorization of architecture, is localized between practice and theory, between art, architecture and design.

Starting with interior design and furniture construction and extensive experience, among others, in the office of Benno Simma in Milan / Italy ? followed by studies of architecture at the Vienna University of Technology and at the University of Michigan / Ann Arbor, USA ? to founding the studio for design, with Architects and a graphic designer, in Vienna ? while accepting a position as assistant professor at the Institute for Building II / Prof. Helmut Richter at the Vienna University of Technology for six years ? founding of the Artistic Studio for Space ? working and defending my Doctoral Thesis Transkutan ? being the coordinator as well as professor of the Curso de Pós Graduação de Design de Interiores | Design de Espaço at the IED Rio de Janeiro ? From 2017 on for 2,5 years I was responsible for space.art, materiality and furniture design production at the Institute of Spatial Design at Graz University of Technology.

Parallel to teaching and theoretical investigations, I have developed various spatial, architectural & urban projects as well as expertises, realization of interior and event design, furniture and graphic design.

Alongside to commissioned work, I explore space in an artistic way: mostly walk-in spatial ? and consequently ? vestimentary installations come about in interplay with theoretical investigations. Transcutaneous ? Material Phenomena of Limitation explores 'space' along its sensory-physical perceptibility through spatial installations with organic as well as elastic boundaries, starting from my own works, towards those of Ernesto Neto, and others. Sensualism in the formal and narrative expression as well as in the material choice shapes the extended medium space as well as the body hautnah* and is essential for my working method.
